um ok so I and many other people have already had our share of bitching and ranting about Michael Fassbender and Steve McQueen not getting nominated for Academy Awards but I don’t know if I’d said my peace yet about Carey Mulligan not getting any nominations. She was amazing in this film. Some of my favorite scenes in this movie were about her because I was just moved by her. I felt like I could relate to her in parts in such a way that it was hard to even watch. The first role I saw Carey Mulligan in was an episode of Hercule Poirot (coincidentally I saw Michael Fassbender for the first time in a Poirot too though a different episode) and she was still just like a teenager in that.
In this film she’s completely come into her own and she’s grown to be such a brilliant actress.
